Workshop participants will engage in a range of activities to explore their cultural competence. In this unique training, Dr. Gooden will guide each participant through a series of exercises, awareness techniques, and engaging strategies that will enhance their understanding of the impact of culture on relationships, teaching and learning, and leading, as well as how to develop a deeper and more authentic sense of community and openness within diverse groups. In addition to strategies, Dr. Gooden will also provide some resources to support participants as they seek to understand how they can impact and improve their practice.

Flipped Classrooms

Training Session

The flipped classroom “flips” traditional teaching methods by delivering instruction online outside of the classroom and “homework” becomes classwork. With the Flipped Classroom, teachers turn the traditional classroom structure on its head and use technology to reorganize class so that students maximize the value of their time with their teachers and peers. The Flipped Classroom isn’t just about bringing new technologies into classrooms – it’s about using technology to transform the way students learn.
